Working with leftovers . . .

Leftovers. We all have them. Paper. File Folders. Ephemera . . . If you're a scrapbooker, you probably have quite a stash of amazing products from past projects. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to do something with a few of mine. A junque journal just for fun!

Button Farm Club Kits

Two of my kits with The Button Farm Club are using an amazing collections from Blue Fern Studio and 49 and Market. The Blue Fern Studios collection is called Happenstance. I think it should be called Happy-stance since the colors are so amazing and vibrant.  You can find it here:  Happenstance Mini Album – Button Farm Club And then I had the privilege of working with 49 and Market's Plume & Petal. A gorgeous combination of colors that reflect beauty and depth. That interactive mini book kit is available here: Plume & Petal Mini Album by Nancy Wethington – Button Farm Club See you soon with another Button Farm Club kit!

The Button Farm Crop in Oklahoma . . .

I recently had the privilege of teaching an in-person sold out class at a Button Farm crop in Oklahoma. What a great group of gals I met, including some that live near me in Missouri! (Hi Neighbors 👋) You can now purchase the kit at The Button Farm here.  It's a mini-book in a box. The box has a metal closure and, when open, houses a mini that is interactive and fun to put together. You'll build the book from scratch with the step-by-step instructions and photos. The kit includes all the paper and embellishments to complete this project. What a great way to honor a graduate or add it to a bridal shower for remembered photos.  Find the kit here:  Beautiful Box & Book

Lakeside . . .

Set your sights for Lakeside, my latest Button Farm mini-album kit. With flips, folds, pockets and more you'll enjoy creating and gifting this album featuring the Lakeside Memories collection from Paper Rose.  The front cover features a silhouette of a fisherman with the inside pages featuring  glorious sunsets, ducks on a pond, fishing boats & more! There's lots of space built in for those special photos and handwritten memories/dates. The kit is available exclusively through The Button Farm Hope you enjoy creating this as much as I did!

Scotland "mini" . . .

A trip to Scotland wouldn't be complete  without scrapping the photos.  I think I counted over 250 photos  so scaling down was a major priority. Here are just a few: Must haves: Highland Cow; Key to a Castle; Thistle A dreamy trip thanks to a very special person Kaitlyn Arrow!

Love cleaning and finding . . .

projects I totally forgot about.  Some are from trips I made. Some are from classes I taught.  Some were made just for fun!

If 2026 is your year for . . .

removing toxins from your home, then click on the link for the best products from Norwex.  Norwex Here's my story: I'll begin with my daughter-in-law who was savvy to the fact of "clean" foods. Since my husband has a type of cancer that can't be cured but can be treated (lymphoma from Agent Orange in VietNam), we decided to jump on the wagon and take the ride to organic foods. Then I met Sarah, who lives down the street and around the corner. She was a rep for Norwex   (products for your home and skin care).  These products come from Norway (thus the name) and are all clean. How clean?   Norwex bans 2700 chemicals in cleaning products and skin care  while the rest of Europe bans 1300 and the U.S. bans (don't even ask - it's pathetic!). These amazing "clean" supplies have been part of my  home and skin care for a couple of years.  They work great (just as great if not better than what I used to purchase)  and we are on our way to a chemi...

I'm calling it finished . . .

I think my craft room organization attempt is finally complete. I've added these containers from Amazon. Easy to put together and they will hold 12x12 papers. Who remembers Vintage Artistry from 49 & Market. That's the collection that had me hooked on 49 & Market designs. Looks like I was drinking when I applied these labels 😏 Marble color:   Amazon.com : Fiyerna Foldable Desk File Holder Organizer Sturdy Cardboard Magazine Storage Box Document Rack with Blank Label Stickers for Home School Office (15, Marble) : Office Products White:  Amazon.com: Thenshop 12 Pcs Scrapbook Paper Storage 12 x 12 Paper Storage Organizer with Tabs Foldable Scrapbook Cardboard Holder Bin for Vinyl Sheet File Black:   Amazon.com: Scrapbook Paper Storage, 4 Pack Scrapbook Papers Organizer with 10 Self-adhesive Labels, 12x12 Paper Storage Organizer Holds over 2000 Papers, File Organizer for Cardstock, Vinyl Sheets, Craft Sheets For me, I liked all of them but the white containers ...

I am cleaning my craft room . . .

OMG I am overwhelmed with paper, stamps, dies, etc. All the things us paper crafters love but . . . When I feel as though the paper, etc is out of control, I shut down a bit. Too overwhelmed to look for something. Same things in too many places. My OCD sets in and I can't stand the mess any more. Needing a way to better organize, I searched several scrapbook sites but couldn't find anything that I thought would work and was reasonable! Enter Amazon and this . . .  Amazon.com : Marbrasse 6 Tier Paper Organizer Letter Tray - Mesh Desk File Organizer with Handle, Paper Sorter Organizer for Letter/A4 Office File Folder Holder - Black : Office Products First, I wanted something that would fit in my file cabinet (it's a big one).  And something that was open at the top! My file drawers are 34 1/2" W x 15.5" D. This file system from Amazon measures 13.5" T x 9.1" D x 12.6 W. So far so good. It's metal (I like that) and would hold up to 30 lbs. I ordered 2 ...

Doing a few repairs . . .

on one of my most favorite projects . . .  Years ago, Tim Holtz and Mario hosted the most amazing weekends in their hometown. It was named "Holiday Hideaway" and I don't think I'll ever forget it. A small group of us met in Prescott for a superlative weekend of  magnificent Christmas projects as only Tim can create! And Mario was amazing, including creating delicious meals for us all weekend! (Mario, I'm still pushing you for a cookbook!) We were invited a couple of years in a row with one year even more meaningful than the next (if that was even possible). One of the weekends at Tim's, I didn't feel like celebrating Christmas at all. My son had been deployed to Iraq, I hadn't heard from him for weeks as he was in ??????? with very little communication. And all I could do was pray that he was alive. And then this weekend happened. And it was magical! Tim & Mario, thank you both for such amazing projects that are still some of my favorites EVER ~ i...

My Baby Grand loves art . . .

At 2-1/2 years, he loves art projects . . .  Finger painting Watercolor painting Cutting with scissors . . . and of course Nana thinks he's a budding artist!

Playing Cards . . .

Found this great idea on a "new to me" site called ShanoukiArt. It was a "must try" in NancyLand yesterday. I used some old ephemera from K&Co and a few playing cards from Prima. With the help of a small oval die, the playing card cuts were really simple. I also liked the way you could use the oval initial for something on a card or envelope. A really quick and fun project! I left the cut out ovals blank for photos.
